While having lots of trouble getting the dust seals to fit on the front
calipers, I am starting to suspect that my new parts are not correct. My car
is in the 5000 plus commission number range. It looks like my new parts,
including the pistons, are for before CC29929. But, the caliper is 16P, not
16PB. So, if the dust cover is to be hold on by a circlip (as shown for the
later caliper), is there supposed to be a groove on the outside of the piston
bore to hold this clip? I took the calipers apart a few weeks ago and cannot
remember if there was a clip or not. I would like to find out before
reordering and making more mistakes. Thanks!
