Oliver:
I used tapered socket head screws from the hardware store
instead of slot headed screws. They are available in a suitable black
finish. If you don't care about originality they are the way to go...
They are very hard and strong, black so that they match the frame color
and blend in, easy to tighten with a hex key wrench, and the head will
not strip out. They have the same tapered style head as the original
screws so they tighten down flush with the frame, and do not protrude
the way a regular cap screw would.
An alternative to the original screws for your consideration.
Not concours, but what the hey!
Cheers,
Vance

Subject: convertible top (hood) bolts
Hi, List.
Sorry about the frigid temperatures many of you are suffering. i know
we
all hope spring comes soon!
i noticed today that the dpo put standard bolts to hold the covertible
top
on my car.
i would like to replace them with the original style "screws"
anyone have some in decent shape from a parts car they'd be willing to
sell?
thanks!
