Is it possible there is a vacuum advance issue here? Perhaps the diaphragm
is "kaput", a leak in the line or the weights in the "dizzy" are in need of
a light lubrication. I am having the same issue with my TR3 which I recently
completed a ground up restoration (See Web Link at the bottom of my
message). As it is stored for the winter, I cannot work on it if it means
running the engine, until the spring.
Talking about lubrication......how long till New Years Eve?
