Rusty,
As others have indicated, nice car. Without jumping to conclusions based upon
your email it is difficult to gauge your experience and desire to work on a
restoration. The books suggested are an excellent source of information.
Arguably, these lists will be your best source since you can ask specific
questions to specific problems and although often getting a variety of options
for answers many times there is a consensus of opinion unless you are dealing
with matters of "taste".
Personally my TR6 was bought quite quickly, without a healthly amount of
forethought. Since I went to see it on a Friday evening and the banks didnt
open up until Monday I had the weekend for research and changing my mind on the
purchase. I spent a lot of time on the net looking around and discovered two
primary sources of assistance.
The first was these lists. I discovered the 6-Pack list first and in order to
better understand the car and learn as much as I could I went back to the
archives from the beginning and started reading past posts in the order they
had been posted. At the time there was about three years of posts available and
now there are more. It took me over a month of my spare time but answered quite
a few questions I had when I started. It introduced me to people on the list
also. I began to understand who posted quite a bit, and who was a good source
for what type of knowledge.
Secondly, I discovered a fellow TR6 owner who lived in the town right next to
me. He has been my greatest resource and there are times when it doesnt hurt to
have someone to express your frustrations to, chat about your car in person to,
bounce some ideas off, and of course, someone to take a drive with. Check out
the local LBC clubs and find a friend in the LBC community.
Those are my two suggestions. Best of luck. Before long, you will be answering
questions on the lists.

Subject: tr250 rebuild questions
http://www.greer.org/picasa/2006/tr250/ <6pack@autox.team.net>
i have the triumph pictured above. it has been sitting for about 10 years
since last driven. garaged, but not ever put away, just parked one day.
i have a few generic questions:
what are some recommended books for something like this?
how about websites for parts and what-not?
how about some shops/people in the SF bay area that maybe i can get together
a learn a bit?
the problem on the horizon is rebuilding the carbs? where can i get rebuild
kits/knowledge?
thanks in advance.
