The early GT6 heads had different studs or I should
say, I have a MKIII GT6 head on our MKI GT6.  The
holes for the studs in the block had to be bored out
for larger studs.  So, it would be helpful for you to
use a early head if you have an early GT6 Block from a
cost standpoint.  Of course the early heads aren't
that easy to come by.  Where are you?  I have a couple
of MKII parts cars that have complete engines.
