check your house insurance policy, and if its traveler's i'd switch.

we had a hot water leak under the house (pier and beam) for many months.

they don't cover water damage except for sudden, severe leaks, nor do they 
cover water leaks "in the foundation" which translates to anything under the 
subfloor.

we'll survive, but its gonna hurt.
