You have done well providing information about the problem. The one
thing you didnt mention is at what point the problem started. For
instance, did the car run just fine before you made the above change
you mentioned? If that is the case then you might switch back
temporarily to the way it was to either eliminate or pinpoint the
problem. Vacuum leaks will cause the engine to idle faster.
I am sure others will have additional suggestions.
