Steering Column

Everything is out of the car.  The dash is refinished, and the new wiring
harness is going in.  Might as well replace the steering column bushings.
Any tricks for removing the ignition switch mechanism that is mounted on the
column so I can pull it out through the dash?  Any info would be greatly
appreciated.
