Aaron---I'm on my third windshield. The factory one was replaced due to
pitting after about 10 years. The replacement came from TRF, and looked
good. (I got the tinted one) When replacing this one about five years
ago TRF didn't have any available. Seriously!
I ordered one from Moss, with the cute little Triumph shield painted
into a corner. This glass was cracked in the crate it came in. The
edges all around the glass were looked to be chisled out of its mold and
was super rough. (Which probably led to where the break originated)
Moss replaced it without question. The second one came without any
cracks but had many of the saw-toothed edges around its perimeter. Not
wanting to delay the replacement any longer, I spent an hour or so going
over this with various grits of sandpaper to smooth it out.
I can't comment about what VB sends out, This glass may all come from
the same maker, so check it over carefully, as this is not apparantly
done before delivered.
