Engine run on

Recently, on hot days and after short drives (15-30 miles)
my engine wants to stay running after i turn off the ignition.
i can't say i blame the car...driving in the country makes me never want to 
turn the engine off!
The only thing I have done recently was install new spark plugs.

could those be the reason?

or is the anti-runon valve at fault (i forget how to check those things)

any suggestions?
