Joe,
I too have been looking at adding an additional set of speakers to my TR6 when
I install a stereo at some point down
the road. Although I haven't tried them, Blaupunkt has a new "thin series"
which, as the name suggests, has thinner
mounting depths. You can see them at:

This also raises some questions I have. Has anyone installed a stereo on their
TR6 recently? What did you go with?
I'm not such a "purist" that I would demand a reproduction style stereo, but I
don't want anything that looks like it
came straight off the starship Enterprise either. Plus, I don't want anything
too expensive since TR6s aren't the most
secure vehicles out there. I've always liked Blaupunkts due to their simple
looks, but I'm wondering what others have
gone with (i.e., name and model numbers).
Also, I've installed several car stereos in my life, but is there anything
special I should know about installing one
on a TR6 given its less than modern electronics? For the record, my TR does
not currently have a stereo in it, but
appears to have had one at some point since there is an antenna.
