Jim-Try drilling a hole in the tunnel cover opposite the filler plug and then
use a 8 point 7/16" socket on a ratchet and extension. It will probably have
to be driven on the plug head. When you are able to remove the plug, toss it
far away and replace it with a hex head plug. It is a 3/8" tapered pipe thread.
The hole in the tunnel can be replaced with a rubber plug like the one used
to cover the jack hole in the floor or maybe a smaller one. PB blaster won't
help much on a tapered thread. In the future, you might find it is more
convenient use the access hole in the tunnel to remove the plug instead of
crawling
under the car.
