Bill:
You have the correct tool, and it *WILL* remove the seal. If
they are a tight fit, the tool will destroy it in the process of
removing it, but it will come out.
Hook that baby in there and lean on it. Those tools are the
cat's meow for getting out old seals.

What is the trick to remove the old oil seal from the
differential pinion shaft on a TR6 ??? I bought one of those "oil
seal removal" tools, kinda looks like a skinny hammer with hooks on
both ends, but the &*&())** thing won't budge the seal... and this
was going to be an easy job ... yeah... right ...
