Ron, Here is a web page that lists SAE/ISO grades for bolts and nuts. As you will see, there are different designations for similar strength bolts and nuts http://www.americanfastener.com/technical/grade_markings_steel.asp . When replacing nylocks on my Triumph, I follow two rules: (1) Don't trust any nylock nuts that the local hardware store offers.
