Helicoil information needed

Listers,

I need to buy a helicoil kit for a couple of loose studs for my rear
trailing arms.  I found a tech article on the 6-pack.org website
stating that I needed 5/16-18 helicoils.  I was always under them
impression that if I want to reuse the stock studs that the thread was
5/16-24.  Which is the correct one to buy?
