OK, got the sump off, thrust washers lying in the bottom. I'm gonna start
inspecting now. The rear main seal is intact, and everythink looks OK so
far. I am now gonna pull off the rear main bearing. But a random thought
occured to me-- on which end do I look for damage, the front, or the rear?
I assume at the rear of the motor, but I want to make sure. I now gonna go
feel the back of the crankcase and the back of the crank itself to feel for
any divots or ridges. I'll check back after while to see If I need to check
the front also.
