I'm just getting around to finishing my top installation and need a bit of
help. This is for a 250, the 6 is a bit different.
The Sunfast top has 2 long tabs sewn to the underside. One lines up with the
bow over the rear window and the other with the bow overhead. I'm pretty
sure that I remember the rear one was not used on 250s and I'm planning to
carefully cut this tab off.
The other tab gets pop riveted to the overhead bow. My questions are does it
wrap from front to back (or back to front) and is it pulled tight or left a
bit baggy?
For those of you with side window alignment problems, I highly recommend
adjusting the windscreen and not the door glass. I went the door glass route
and have now found that the top rear of the glass just misses the gasket
(should touch). The alignment at the door post is excellent. Oh well, live
and learn.
