The old Lucas unit on my car is starting to make expensive noises, so
it may be a good time to step up to a GM replacement unit. I have
read Bob Danielson's account of his work, but I'm inclined to think
it's easier on an early car sans air pump. I'd be interested in
hearing from anyone who has done the work and can offer tips and
traps on the conversion. Information on the ammeter modification
would also be appreciated.
