My TR6 has the engine sump plug facing left side, towards the rear My TR6 takes 5.5 US quarts to fill after the sump is completely drained. As an aside, I've always wondered why ALL the cars I've ever owned have used X.5 quarts of oil - never owned one that didn't have a 1/2 a quart left over after an oil change!!
