I've been runniing my 1976 TR6 on the street (and in occasional autocrosses) for a number of years with a rear sway bar and an up- graded front sway bar. Upon installation, the handling characteristics went from mild understeer to mild oversteer (*). I'd rather have to cor- rect a skid than plow headlong into an object. Dennis Culligan / 1976 TR6 - CF57948U - TR6IUMPH (*) I think it was Phil Barnes who once explained the difference as "Understeer scares the driver, oversteer scares the passenger" |
