I think part of the problem is putting things into perspective
... I had one of the first disc braked TR3s, and won every
club race in my class (less than 2000cc) simply by out-braking them
into the corners. And my current TR3 still brakes just as
good as the original. HOWEVER ... the brakes on my 2004 Toyota
Sienna (discs front and rear) are so much better that if I had
them on that TR3 I could have been the overall winner, with
ABS and VSC this 4000 lb MiniVan has incredible stopping
power. Soooo when I get the in TR3 I think, "My Gosh is this
thing ever going to stop???" As I said, all a matter of
perspective...
