This is an excellent discussion that has become a concern over the last few
days for me also. My engine is mostly disassembled and waiting for removal.
The radiator has been removed but the block has not been completely drained
just yet. Oil and residual coolant in the block still there. It may take me
a week or two to actually get the engine out and temperatures are all over
the map lately in New England. I have all the open cavities plugged in the
engine but condensation was a big problem just the other day during a rain
storm. The engine will be sent out, but I would like to NOT be adding any
more problems than I already have due to moisture. Any suggestions on
protection for me?
