I'm not aware of anything for Spitfires, but what you
could try is using the factory steel top & cutting the
center section. I'm thinking some sort of dowel pins
to hold the two pieces together. Naturally this will
involve some metal work. You could probably even make
a soft top set up for it as the original surrey
would've offered.
I have an article somewhere about adapting a
TR6/Spitfire convertible top frame(just the forward
section) to a surrey top allowing a locking mechanism
for the top rather than hooking the top over the
windscreen cap. If anyone is interested, I could
provide it off list.
