I need to either redo my seats or replace them do to wear. I've altered the
present stock seat (and track quite a bit to get me about 1 inch lower in the
car. I'm 6'1" and between head room limitations and a large steering wheel,
I need to get lower in the car. I'd like to consider replacement options.
I've seen Miata seats installed, but they sit too high. I've heard that BMW
E30
recaro seats fit a little lower, but I've not been able to find a pair that
are in good shape and are reasonable price. What have you'all tried? It looks
like seats from an Acura integra, Honda prelude or maybe a Civic would fit,
offer better support than the stock seat and not look too "modern" in black
trim. I've considered repairing my stock seats, but considering the seat
covers, foam kits, and installation hardware (and diaphragms), the cost would
approach $650.00 if I did the labor. A nice pair of Japanese leather seats
would
cost 1/2 this much. Any opinions? I don't care about originality
