Today I acquired yet another TR6. It is a 72 with two Webber carbs. The
car will not run. I am sure its the Webbers, but know nothing about them.
(I finally have a grasp on the ZSs on my 76 TR6)
If I pour a little fuel into the throat the car starts right up and
continues running until the fuel I poured has been consumed. I know the
electric pump fills the bowls and the float seems to be working fine. I
also ran a line from the intake side of the pump to a can of fresh gas it
changed nothing, so I dont think the gas is bad.
I dont have a Webber manual. I expect that the problem is between the bowl
and the intake throat. What should I be looking at? Any and all suggestions
are appreciated.
PS: the engine sounds really great.
