Nope, no need to remove the gearbox tunnel to change the gearbox fluid.  Go
down to your local hardware store and purchase about 6feet of clear poly
tubing, 3/8" ID.  Snake the tubing down through the engine bay and insert it
into the fill hole on the side of the gearbox.  Most gear lube bottles have
a tappered spout that fits nicely into the tubing, stick the tubing on the
spout, invert the bottle of gear fluid.... and watch it flow down into your
gearbox.

It helps to have the amount of gear fluid measured out beforehand so that
you do not overfill.  That is 3.2pints for J-type ODs and 2.4pints for the
standard box... I cannot remember what it is for A types.
