botched core plug removal

In an attempt to remove the core plugs, I gougled the block badly with a 
drill.  The gouge is on the face that mates up to the core plug.  Its pretty 
deep, 
 and extends through the entire depth of the block.  Is this something a 
machine shop can "fix"?
