Replacing Main Floor Panels

Greetings everyone,
 
I am in the process of restoring my TR250 and have decided that I need
to replace the main floor pans.  Has anyone ever done this?  Do you have
to cut out the old and weld in the new?  Any helpful hints/info would be
greatly appreciated.
