Hi John,

"I want to remove my small instrument gauges. My heater contol plinth seems
to be in the way. What is the best way to proceed?

Having just been through this process you should be able to remove your small
guages without having to remove the center switch plinth. You will have to
remove the dash in order to get to the clamps that hold the small guages on and
to get to the electrical connections for the guages. However if you need to
remove the center switch plinth then you can remove the knobs by pressing in
the pin on each knob and pull the knob off(sometimes easier said than done).
Remove the two screws holding the switch plinth on, and remove the four wide
"nuts" that hold the individual controls to the switch plinth and then slide
the switch plinth off.

Hope this helps.
