Jerry,

It would be best if you left the suspension and wheels on the frame.  I did
this a while back and the frame by itself was barely wide enough for the
frame rack.  Fortunately, the guy doing the work is a good friend of mine
and he didn't mind the extra trouble.  Hope this helps.
