Here's the deal- press down hard on the brakes, RMP slows to almost stall.
It doesn't matter if I'm diving or if I'm just sitting in the garage. I
suspected a vacuum leak, so I checked the big hose from the intake manifold to
the brake servo. It was OK (I did notice a tiny amount of brake fluid on the
servo end, so a master cylinder rebuild is needed). I now suspect a leaky
diaphram in the servo. I can't find a major rebuild kit from the Big 3, so I
guess I'll have to buy the entire servo. It's kinda pricy! Before I shell
out for it, are there any suggestions of other fixes I have overlooked?
Thanks. Kevin
