Spot Welder?

Anyone ever use either a Miller or Hobart spot welder. I've got some rockers
and floor plans to replace shortly (one I get the other rocker) and it seems
like it would make the job a lot easier but I've only seen them used on one
of the car shows. It seems like everyone just does plug welds and I was
trying to get some information from someone who may have used one of them.
