Hi Folks,
I've been having trouble getting my TR250
running again. I want to thank everyone
for lending me a hand in fixing this thing.
It seems the problem was a combination
of things:
bad gas,
bad luminition ignition module,
gummed webers, and a
faulty fuel pressure regulator.
Bad gas, gummed carbs, and faulty
fuel regulator caused by or exacerbated
by STP fuel additive which I will never
use again. An excessive spark plug gap,
.055", may have played a part in damaging
the ignition module. The plugs are currently
gapped at .035".
The car currently runs good. Its sucking
fuel out of a jerry can via a remote electric
fuel pump, and I'm running points/condenser
again. I also thoroughly cleaned the carbs.
Thanks again,
Dave
