My friend desires to polish and port the head for a high performance
(street) motor. I have been informed from reputable sources that the Circle
B head is the best head for this purpose due to the stronger/thicker
casting.

Is your buddy building a mountain motor? If not, you don't need the Circle
B head. Just any late head will do.
I just thought I'd toss that out there.
