Well, that depends on the car and its intended purpose.  For some
folks a trip to the muffler shop and a couple cans of chrome spray
paint from KMart will do the trick.

But if you are talking about a race car, you are more likely going
to be needing DOM steel (drawn over mandrel, no seam) of the appropriate
diameter, most likely 1.5" for Spit sized cars, 1.75" for TR sized ones.
