Richard, I priced mirror glass and found as you did that custom cut glass was very expensive. I went to a local store where the price for everything is a dollar. Found a cheap round mirror that just fit my needs and removed the glass. If you do this, be careful that you don't damage the backing of the mirror in removing the adhesive used to attach the mirror.
