Chuck,

Often if you attend a British Car Show or swap meet there will be a vendor that 
sells and or cuts keys right at the show.  Even if they dont cut keys there 
with your key in hand they should be able to give you the right blank.  I would 
also try another locksmith.  Sort of like a doctor, get more than one opinion.
