Bob--Possibly one reason is that in the pusher configuration, all the fan hardware is directly in the path of the oncoming air and consequently blocks some of it from entering the radiator. An additional reason I think is the pusher configuration is achieved by simply reversing the fan blade hub on the puller fan. Perhaps the fan blades were designed for optimum pulling, not pushing, which is not entirely recovered by hub reversal. Rick O. 72 TR6 w/16" Perma-Cool puller |
