Both of my TR250's have the early 175 CD2 Z-S carbs with the brass plug that
screws in up through the float chamber. It is not the press-in plug that the
later versions have. The plug has a concave slot in it to allow for a coin to
be used to turn it. Is one supposed to loosen this plug to enrich the mixture?
It appears the o-ring is what seals the float chamber, not the screw threads,
and by unscrewing the plug you increase the distance from the end of the plug
to the bottom of the needle, creating a richer mix. I am crazy or have I
actually begun to understand how my carbs work? All help is appreciate.
Please do not ridicule if I am totally off.
