I have already purchased the bushings, so I think I'm going to stick with
them. But that's really interesting about the shocks and springs. I think
my back is a little to soft, possibly due to age or the lever shocks being
worn. I would love to hear from other's who have kept stock or upgraded.
Anyone?

Hi Adam,
Motorhead may be the only British car mailorder catalog parts company
with
a full-service shop and we tend to know which parts work.
Many owners who have changed to stiffer (upgraded) springs and bushings
have removed them reporting that they were too stiff. The factory really
did
know what it was doing and for most people driving on the street new correct
bushings and springs are great and appropriate. Rear tube-shock conversion
kits
may place bad stresses on their mounting points and stock fresh shocks are
great. Sometimes owners convert and darned if the new conversion doesn't
work
better than the old worn-out stock set-up, for a while anyway. Also too big
tires (over 195) remove the fun handling and make the car too much of a
handful.
Obviously, continue to gain a consensus about these things
