Dale,

Try to 'lead in' the side with the tensioner first, moving the cover to the
side a bit off center from the chain to clear it and then simply recenter
the cover and close it up.   Some also use a bent wire to pull the tensioner
back while assembling the cover but I've never had to do that.

Can anyone shed some tips or tricks on how to depress the adjuster so it
clear the chain.
