They are Kirk Racing Headers... and the only thing that is "racing" about
them is the name. Some of the bends, later down the primaries are usually
crush bends, sometimes a single primary pipe is welded from multiple smaller
lengths of tube, which is why there is often a combination of mandrel and
crush bends on Kirk Headers. The welds on the flanges are always horrible,
and always protrude into the runner area, and the fit is just as bad as the
Monzas. longevity and resistance to rust is even worse than the Monzas,
expect the black coating on the Kirk headers to be gone in 6 months.
You should see their MG Midget / Spitfire headers, they are even worse...
Matthew's Foreign Car Parts (the auction seller) buys these from Kirk at
about $115 a piece, Kirk's low wholesale price reflects their actual
quality.
The sad thing on top of this, Kirk Racing also makes roll bars for all sorts
of cars... their roll bars are just as poor in quality, which should be a
crime when you're selling an item billed as a safety device.
