Go ahead Mark, I dare you!
"Weird Things Done with Triumph Parts". That would make another good
subject for Ashford's website.

Subject: [gtr] GT6 Engine For Sale
All,
I have a GT6 engine for sale. I acquired this awhile back from a fellow
on
e-bay that thought it was a TR6 engine. When I got it, I found out it
was
for a GT6 by the serial #. I worked out a deal with the guy (greatly
reduced
my cost), I didn't want to go through the shipping and he really didn't
want
it back. So, I have this engine, which is complete with the exception of
pistons, rings, cam, flywheel and probably some other minor odds and
ends.
It has an early (narrow port) circle B head. If anyone is interested,
I'll
make someone in the club a GREAT deal, and get it out of my garage!!!
If I don't sell it locally, I plan on making the block a combination
flower
pot and water fountain in my front yard. Would have some black colored
water
(simulating oil) shooting out of cylinders 3 & 4 and some weeds growing
out
of cylinders 1, 2, 5 & 6. I think it would make a nice conversation
piece
and a great monument to the Triumph lump. :-)
I'm sure my wife will NOT like this idea, so I really need someone to
take
this from me before I do the insane idea above!!!
I can be contacted off list at this address, or by telephone during the
evenings at 770-972-5256.
Thanks!
