Mitch:
Your carb bypass valves need to be adjusted if it is coming back
to idle too slowly.
Please publish the cam specs.
Thanks,
Vance

Subject: 3 carb setup and alum flywheel
Drove my car for the first time today with the 3 carb good setup &
rebuilt engine, runs good. when you let off the gas it comes back to
idle too slowly though. i think the linkage returns quick enough but the
engine rpm's come down too slow? the guy helping me with it thought
maybe something to do with the racier cam but i wouldn't think that has
anything to do with it. then again i don't know a whole lot. i also have
the temp. compensators and bypass valves plugged off by the way.
seen a few posts in the past about alum. flywheels and driveability.
doesn't seem to take any more gas to get going from a deadstop to me.
engine revs QUICKLY. sitting still and revved it, was over 6000 in a
heartbeat. i think if i missed a gear and mashed the throttle it would
be curtains real quick for the engine.
elgin cam (little racier than the tr5 cam but not a bad idle)
alum flywheel
16" elec. fan
spacer kit to get rid of fan extension
9.8 compression + or -
headers
