Steering Rack

Hi fellow listers,

I have my steering rack disassembled and am awaiting some parts for the
rebuild. (thanks to Randall, Dick, Brent & Ted) for answering my other
questions.

I was going to paint the rack housing and inner tie rod ends, but wasn't sure
of the color. From some books I have, I thought it was black. Is black correct
or should I leave it that aluminum color?
