Folks,
The top on my 1974 TR6 was replaced approximately 7
years ago by the PO. He told me he bought the top from
TRF and installed it himself. The car has probably
spent 98% of the last seven years in a garage.
The top has reflective stripes and a zip out rear
window. I don't know who was manufacturer -- there are
no markings I can see. The fit on the frame overall is
good, with a slight wrinkle between the first two
bows.
The problem is that between the rear edge of each door
window and the top there is a gap, ranging from barely
anyhting to about 1/2". I would guess the window
should fully overlap the "stuffed" edge of the top.
My question: Is this problem indicative of:
A) improper installation
B) poorly made top
C) "shrinkage"
D) all of the above...
E) none of the above
And any advice on how to fix?
Thanks,
William
