A few years ago on a temporary racetrack on the old Stapleton International
Airport runways in Denver I hit 115mph on one of the straights. That was
clocked with a radar gun, I wasn't watching the speedometer I was watching the
other gauges and looking for my braking points so I don't know what my own
speedo said. It helped that I entered the straight at over 70mph.
At the time my engine was stock but I did have my Jacob's Electronics Pro
Street Ignition System and K&N filters. I also had all the suspension mods
already on the car. The transmission was a stock non-od 4-speed and the diff
was stanard 3.70 gearing.
Oh yeah, the top was up as well. I think it helped considering the
aerodynamics of the TR6.
