I've actually wondered about the poly diff bushings transferring to much
stress to the frame. Sure a little power is lost form the slight flexing of
the rubber under acceleration but it is probably more notable in the seat of
the pants than in anything else. Maybe enough for racers to go after when
searching for every last bit of power but most likely more detrimental on a
road car that racks up more miles than race cars do. This would however
probably be a very good place for the poly bushes that have the same durometer
of the rubber but stand up to the elements better.
