Stuart,
Don't assume that you need shorter push rods just because the head was milled.
You
only need shorter push rods if you cannot back out the adjusters enough to reach
the proper valve clearance. Unnecessary shortening only reduces the rocker ratio
by positioning the adjuster ball further from the rocker shaft. Keep in mind
that
the lifters sit lower if you have a reground cam.
I recommend Stellite exhaust valves with hard seats and the stock intake
valves. I
don't think hard seats are necessary on the intakes.
