The pressure is a bit greater.

Parasitic drag, but the effect seems negligible.

To be honest, you'd  get more benefit from blueprinting the oil pump. And
you should do that (bluprint) the oil pump anyway.

FWIW, I run the HD oil pressure relief spring on both mt cars. You get
really high oil pressure when the motor is cold (close to 100 PSI with
20/50 in < 50 F ambient). But the oil warms up in a minute or two and then
oil press. is normal
